Eshel Bar-Adon

Eshel Bar-Adon is Executive Vice President, Specialty Finance and Chief Legal Officer of BofI Federal Bank.

After graduating from law school in 1980, Mr. Bar-Adon served as law clerk to the Hon. E.R. Cox, United States District Judge for the Southern District of Alabama. Between 1981 and 1998, Mr. Bar-Adon practiced law in Washington, DC, and was a partner in the national law firm of Sullivan & Worcester. While in private practice, he specialized in representing real estate developers and banks in real estate finance transactions. He also served as outside general counsel to companies in a variety of industries, including government contractors, technology companies, and financial services companies.

In 1998, Mr. Bar-Adon left the private practice of law and joined Stone Street Capital, Inc., the specialty finance firm credited with creating the business of purchasing and securitizing . While at Stone Street, he served as Senior Vice President for Transactional Affairs and Corporate Counsel, and was a member of the company’s Executive Committee.

After leaving Stone Street in 2006 and prior to joining BofI Federal Bank, Mr. Bar-Adon was named Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer of another leading specialty finance firm. During his tenure, he served as Acting President and was a member of the company’s Executive Committee.

Mr. Bar-Adon holds a Juris Doctorate from the Georgetown University Law Center, and a Bachelors of Arts degree, with honors, from the University of Texas at Austin. He is a member of the District of Columbia Bar.
